People do not want to be managed. They want to be led. However, their time and talents as well as the organization's assets, systems and processes must be actively managed in order to achieve results. Separating "leading" from "managing" can be destructive. Most management roles require a combination of both management and leadership elements which must be blended depending on the task and the individuals involved.
In this workshop we will discuss a model for results-oriented leadership along with its
management component. This is not a seminar about a single leadership or management theory. It is a broad perspective of various tools available to executives which may be adopted depending on the circumstances.
Held in either college campuses or hotel conference centers in areas where large numbers of shipping companies are concentrated (e.g., Doral, FL; Greenspoint area, Houston, TX; Alameda, CA; etc.) This workshop features a lecture with a question and answer session. Small groups allows for plenty of interaction.
Who should attend:
This 4 hour seminar is designed to help entrepreneurs, middle and senior managers understand, adapt and improve their skills by identifying new ways of delivering results. We also welcome leaders-to-be who are getting ready for new challenges and responsibilities. We specially appreciate their fresh points of view and contributions to our discussions. Anyone required to deliver results together with a group of people will profit from this work-shop by acquiring tools and perspectives which will help to motivate and focus the team's energy in the right direction.
